If you need to take pictures of wide open areas of landscape, this lens is outstanding.
Just look at a couple of photos taken with this lens:

best SWA lens for 4/3, September, 8 2008
by Konstantin Tovstiadi
I haven't rented this lens because I own it. I also have the 8mm Fisheye, 12-60, and in the past had 11-22, 14-54, 14-45, and 14-42. The only wide 4/3 lenses that I haven't tried are the PanaLeicas and the SHG 14-35 Olympus. The 7-14 is wonderful, better than any other wide angle lens that I have used. For architecture and interiors, it is simply perfect. Optically superb - straight lines at all focal lengths, sharp at all f stops. Not very bright - but relatively light and compact given what you get - a high end super wide angle weather sealed zoom. f4 is not bright, that is true - but at 7mm you can easily handhold 1/15; with a stabiliser, 1/5 or even 1/3. Unless you are trying to freeze action (unlikely given the field of view), f4 is no big deal. Same excellent contrast, sharpness, and quality as with its big brothers (35-100 and 150 f2).
