This amazing lens creates a "normal" field of view equivalent to a 50mm lens on a full-frame camera. A large maximum aperture allows shooting in very low light situations and gives you incredible artistic control over depth-of-field. Leica incorporated 1 super-ED element and 3 standard ED elements to correct for color aberration, which makes for superb image quality. Rent this beauty of a lens and enjoy all it has to offer!

I'm a try before you buy kind of guy and I have to say a big thank you to PPR for hosting this lens! Quiet focusing and smooth operation in focusing either manually or via AF... super sharp and gives images an outstanding quality you will grow to long for even after it is gone.

You can shoot with it wide open, however, I typically stopped it down to f/2.0 simply to give me enough DOF for my images haha... f/1.4 to f/2.0 is phenominal for low light photography on E-system cameras. Renting this lens made me committed to having it be the next lens that I purchase. Until then, I'll save space in my bag for a PPR rental of this lens.
