The Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II is the second generation of Canon’s 24mm L focal length. Designed with some impressive coatings and features to minimize ghosting, chromatic aberration, and maintain sharpness from corner to corner even on full frame sensors. The circular aperture also helps in creating pleasing out of focus features, which there could be plenty of thanks to the fast f/1.4 aperture. Autofocus is snappy and quiet thanks to Canon’s Ultra Sonic Motor (USM) and has a full time manual override, so you can quickly turn the focusing ring to override the autofocus function. The Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II is a great lens to rent for landscape and architecture, as well as weddings and events that go well into the evening. A 77mm filter size lets you add all of those interesting little filters too.
