Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro

Dedicated completely to macro photography, rent the Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro if you want to reproduce your subject from 1 to 5 times. That 1:1 reproduction means that the subject you’re photographing will appear on your sensor the exact size it is in the real world. At 5x, Canon states you can fill the frame with a grain of rice. Sounds like a bland photo, but still pretty impressive. Comparable systems require bellows extensions and some rather clunky mechanics, so this lens will already be saving you some space in your bag. Plus, its closest focusing distance of 9.6 inches affords you additional working space so you don’t get in front of the light that’s falling on your tiny subject.

Heads Up!: This is not a normal photo lens. This lens does not have Auto-Focus, and cannot focus to infinity to be used for non-macro photos. This lens is basically a low-power microscope.
