GoPro's 2022 update to their Hero lineup has some nice improvements that keep this action camera at the top of the list .

The first thing we want to highlight is that GoPro FINALLY improved their cold-weather battery performance. This camera comes stock with the new "Enduro" battery that in our testing remains usable in temperatures into the teens. This is a long overdue change that we are all too happy to see, as the #1 complaint we got with previous generations was about how poorly they perform in the cold.

The second change for this model is a new sensor that expands your options when changing resolution, frame rate, and field of view. It also gives you the option of recording in either 8- or 10-bit, giving you the best and richest color possible. You can expect great quality with its 5.3k 60 fps output or ability to shoot 2.7k 240 fps ultra slow-mo footage.

You'll also get GoPro's latest stabilization technology, called Hypersmooth 5.0, which is excellent for taking the shakes out of even your most vigorous outdoor activity footage. It's really amazing how stable they've been able to make the video capture.

We rent this camera as a kit with a battery, memory card, and universal mount clip. We'll also throw in a standard mount (such as chest, helmet, floaty handle, handlebar mount, etc). Just let us know which one you need.
