Sony ECM-XM1 Shotgun Mic

This is a great short shotgun microphone for the FX series of cameras such as the FX3 and FX6. It also works well with their camcorder series like the Z150.

Its electret condenser design picks up frequencies from 50-20,000 Hz with a dynamic range of 111 dB.

Since it's a Sony, the diameter of the rubber ring matches perfectly with the factory Sony cinema cameras' mic mount, which can be a real struggle with other brands of mics.

Note that this microphone does not come with a mount, since it is designed for use with the existing mount on Sony cinema cameras. It will require +48V phantom power (supplied by the camera), and is XLR only.
