This filter is very useful when you're looking to have skin appear smoother, as it reduces the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles. It essentially does this by providing a VERY slight diffusion through the filter. Make no mistake: this is a subtle effect, not the over-the-top soft focus look from 1980's glamour photography.
It does a great job of softening while keeping a lot of detail in your footage.
